Gdańsk University of Technology Students Discover the Potential of the Słupsk Bioenergy Island
(17.04.2026)
We had the pleasure of hosting students from the Gdańsk University of Technology at the Słupsk wastewater treatment plant. The study visit was an excellent opportunity to demonstrate how modern municipal management is becoming a pillar of the region’s energy transition.
During the meeting, the students learned about the inner workings of the Słupsk Bioenergy Cluster and the concepts behind the Słupsk Bioenergy Island project. Today, our facility is much more than just wastewater infrastructure; it is a modern innovation center where clean energy is produced.
The participants toured the installations completed as part of the investment, seeing firsthand how local cooperation helps build the sustainable energy of the future. Such meetings confirm that the Słupsk treatment plant is a place where science meets real-world ecology and technology.
The meeting was organized as part of the information and educational activities of the project “SWB Słupsk Bioenergy Island – Development of Energy Competences of the SKB Cluster Coordinator,” co-financed by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (KPO).
