Perspectives and Plans
The Słupsk Bioenergy Cluster is currently implementing the objectives of the project “SWB – Słupsk Bioenergy Island – developing the energy competences of the SKB cluster coordinator,” funded by the KPO. The ongoing investment and organizational activities focus on RES infrastructure, storage, and the local balancing of energy production and consumption.
The future of the Słupsk Bioenergy Cluster involves the consistent expansion of its scope of activities and competences. The coming years will be a period of intensive investments in biomethane production and the implementation of solutions for low-emission transport. In parallel, hydrogen technologies will be developed.
The long-term ambition of the SKB Cluster is to create a self-balancing, regional zero-emission area. The goal is to cover most of the energy needs of enterprises and local governments from local renewable sources, which will permanently strengthen the region’s energy independence.
Through these initiatives, the SKB has the opportunity to become one of the most important bioenergy centers in northern Poland, and the Słupsk region — a leader in innovation and sustainable development.
