The company “Wodociągi Słupsk” is completing the implementation of the project entitled: “Utilization of waste heat from biogas cogeneration in the district heating system of the city of Słupsk”, thanks to which heat and electricity from the Słupsk wastewater treatment plant will soon flow to the Trzy Fale Water Park facility in Słupsk. Most of the construction works scheduled for implementation under the aforementioned project have already been completed. Start-ups, tests, and final trials of the constructed installation are currently underway.
It is worth emphasizing that this project, based on the combined production of heat and electricity from biogas and the utilization of waste heat, is intended to stimulate the development of local energy production and distribution, will increase the efficiency of the district heating system of the city of Słupsk, and will reduce the emissions from energy production, which will have a beneficial effect on the costs of municipal services in the region. The decentralization of generation sources will improve heat transmission efficiency, introduce an element of competitiveness, and ensure better utilization of energy potential.
The completion of the project implementation is scheduled for June 30, 2022.
