Investment Summary of the Year 2022
In 2022, during the implementation of investments, we continued to feel the effects of the epidemic situation in the country caused by COVID-19, as well as supply chain disruptions caused by the war in Ukraine. Despite this, the Company continued the execution of ongoing and new investments, as well as renovation works on the water and wastewater network and the Company’s facilities, aimed at development for new customers and ensuring the required level of water supply and wastewater collection services for our clients. In 2022, the initiatives implemented by the Company focused in particular on investments involving the expansion and reconstruction of the wastewater treatment plant, the construction and reconstruction of the sanitary sewerage network, the construction and reconstruction of water supply networks, and the construction and reconstruction of energy infrastructure.
In 2022, the following investment tasks, among others, were completed:
Within the city of Słupsk:
As part of the final phase of the Project entitled “Circular Economy in the Wastewater Treatment Plant along with the Expansion of the Water and Sewerage Network in the Słupsk Agglomeration” under the Infrastructure and Environment Operational Programme (POIiŚ) 2014-2020:
- The modernization of the retention and overflow tank at the wastewater treatment plant in Słupsk, which required urgent intervention due to its poor technical condition – the task was completed in November 2022.

- The expansion of the cogeneration unit system by adding a new 500 kW electrical energy (EE) generator, along with the construction of a heating network featuring a power cable and a fiber optic cable running from the wastewater treatment plant to the “Trzy Fale” Water Park under the Regional Operational Programme for the Pomorskie Voivodeship (RPO WP) 2014-2020;

- The construction of a building for the technical and staff needs of the treatment plant and composting facility, along with garages;

- The construction of firewalls (REI) along with the reorganization of waste storage;
- The construction of a cable line running from the wastewater treatment plant to the Company’s depot at E. Orzeszkowej Street;
- The replacement of the Dn150 water supply network at Konarskiego Street in Słupsk;
- The construction of a water supply network for the “Gdańska V” Local Spatial Development Plan (MPZP) housing estate;
- The construction of a Dn250 sewerage network at Kaczmarskiego Street in Słupsk;
- The implementation of a backwash water recovery system at the Westerplatte Water Treatment Plant – ULTRAFILTRATION.

In 2023, the continuation and completion of ongoing investments are planned, including, among others:
- The construction of a wastewater sewerage network for the “Gdańska V” Local Spatial Development Plan (MPZP) housing estate;
- The replacement of the water supply network at Armii Krajowej Street in Słupsk;
- The construction of the water supply network at Wiejska Street in Słupsk;

- The construction of a water supply network at Norwida Street in Słupsk;
- The construction of a water supply network in the area of Rybacka Street;
- The modernization of the wastewater inflow system to the primary sedimentation tanks;
- The installation of a photovoltaic system with a capacity of approx. 50 kWp for the Legionów water intake.

In conclusion, despite the ongoing war in Ukraine, the continuing pandemic, and the associated challenges in executing certain investments, the Company successfully carried out its planned investment tasks in 2022. In doing so, it ensured the continuity of water supply and wastewater collection while optimizing the costs of service delivery.
