On March 31, 2022, an online conference dedicated to safety in the supply of water intended for human consumption was organized by ABRYS Sp. z o.o., based in Poznań. The conference aimed to discuss the impact of implementing Directive (EU) 2020/2184 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 16 December 2020 into Polish law. The new regulations will affect not only the water and sewage sector but also many other companies and institutions managing so-called priority premises, primarily local government units. Among the experts invited to present individual thematic panels was the representative of the Słupsk water utility, Mr. Andrzej Wójtowicz – President of the Management Board. The President, together with the Plenipotentiary for the Water Safety Plan, Mr. Piotr Czerwczak, drew on years of experience to discuss the practical aspects of implementing the Water Safety Plan, using the case of Słupsk as an example. The lineup of speakers also included water safety and quality experts, representatives from the academic world, and entrepreneurs presenting modern technical and technological solutions for the water and sewage industry, as well as IT systems enabling effective corporate management.
