In the face of hostilities carried out on the territory of Ukraine, it is becoming increasingly difficult for water and sewage utilities to perform their statutory tasks and ensure the continuity of water supply for residents. Many representatives of water utilities from bombed cities are appealing to Polish industry companies for assistance. Information regarding the current needs of Ukrainian companies can be obtained via the website of the “Wodociągi Polskie” Economic Chamber. Numerous sector entities have expressed their willingness and readiness to support those in need, including “Wodociągi Słupsk” Sp. z o.o., which donated a containerized pumping station to the Kharkiv water and sewage utility on April 8, 2022. The device is designed for pumping raw sewage, gravel, sludge, and bentonite. In the first stage, the pumping station donated to the Kharkiv enterprise was delivered to Gdańskie Wody Sp. z o.o., based in Gdańsk, from where it will subsequently be transported to Ukraine along with other material aid.
